We can guarantee that the room is ready from 15h00. Access to the room before 15h00 depends on when the previous guests checked out and on the cleaning team. You can leave your luggage with us until the room is ready so you can start exploring Bruges unencumbered.
Our reception is not open 24/7. For this reason, we ask that you provide your estimated time of arrival through the online check-in link you will receive 7 days before arrival. That way we can make sure you have all pertinent information, such as the entrance code to open the front door.
The room must be vacated by 11:00 at the latest. A late check-out is available until 12:00 for an additional fee and subject to availability. You can also book this during online check-in, or ask about it at reception.
You may leave your luggage with reception until later in the day. If you need to depart very early in the morning, you may leave your room key on the table in the seating area at reception. You can settle your bill during online check-out.
Please let us know in advance if it matters to you to have 1 large double mattress and duvet or 2 separate mattresses and duvets.

Hotel the Barge is a boat and as such stairs are inevitable.
Our hotel is not adapted to special needs, but we will do our best to provide a room for you with as few stairs as possible and the shortest distances possible.

Drink your coffee, tea or juice while watching the ducks and boats pass by through the windows. Or make your own mimosa with the available sparkling wine.
Our breakfast is served from 08h30 until 10h30.

Please help yourself to drinks, snacks and good cheer, and simply make a note of what you've used. We trust you, and that trust is the finest provision we stock.
As the evening tide rolls in and the water quiets around us, we kindly ask that you keep your voice as calm as the canal. Our fellow guests are gently rocking to sleep, and a little consideration goes a long way on a boat where every sound travels.

Finding your mooring spot is easier than it looks. Set your course for the city ramparts, and you will find us near the train station just past the little yacht harbor.
We recommend pulling up alongside De Barge first to drop off your luggage. Our crew will be happy to help you get settled before you park up.
Across the street from the hotel entrance, there are 7 public parking spaces, 4 of which are for charging electric cars. Therefore, there are 3 free public parking spaces for regular non-charging automobiles. These are often occupied between 08h-18h, so you need some luck for these spaces.

There are 2 free public parking spaces for disabled persons 50 meters from the hotel. These cannot be reserved as they are public parking facilities. Our hotel has 3 private parking spaces. These can be reserved on-site or in advance on our website during booking or the online check-in, subject to availability. Once reserved, we have declined further request for these spaces from other guests so they cannot be cancelled on-site. We can only cancel the reservation free of charge with prior notification.
