We can guarantee that the room is ready from 15h00. Acessing the room before 15h00 is dependent on when the previous guests checked out and the cleaning crew. But you can store your luggage with us until the room is ready so that you can start exploring Bruges unencumbered.
Our reception is not open 24/7. For this reason, we request that you provide us with your estimated time of arrival through the online check-in link that you will receive 7 days before arrival. This way we can make sure that you have all the pertinent information such as the entrance code to open the front door.
The room must be liberated at 11h00 at the latest. A late check-out is possible until noon at extra cost and based upon availability. You can also book this during the online-check-in, or ask more about this at reception.
You can leave your luggage with reception until later in the day. If you need to leave very early in the morning, you can leave your room key on the table in the seating area at reception. You can settle your bill during the online check-out.
Please let us know in advance if having 1 large double mattress and duvet or 2 separate matrasses and duvets matter to you.

Hotel the Barge is a boat and as such stairs are inevitable.
Our hotel is not adapted to special needs, but we will do our best to provide a room for you with as little stairs as possible and shortest distances for you.

Our breakfast is served from 08h30 until 10h30.

As the evening tide rolls in and the water quiets around us, we kindly ask that ou keep your voice as calm as the canal. Our fellow guests are gently rocking to sleep, and a little consideration goes a long way on a boat where every sound travels.

Finding your mooring spot is easier than it looks. Set your course for the city ramparts, and you will find us near to the train station just past the little yacht harbor.
We recommend pulling up alongside De Barge first to drop off your luggage. Our crew will be happy to help you get settled before you park up.
Across the street from the hotel entrance, there are 7 public parking spaces, 4 of which are for charging electric cars. Therefore, there are 3 free public parking spaces for regular non-charging automobiles. These are often occupied between 08h-18h, so you need some luck for these spaces.

There are 2 free public parking spaces for disabled persons 50 meters from the hotel. These cannot be reserved as they are public parking facilities. Our hotel has 3 private parking spaces. These can be reserved on-site or in advance on our website during booking or the online check-in, subject to availability. Once reserved, we have declined further request for these spaces from other guests so they cannot be cancelled on-site. We can only cancel the reservation free of charge with prior notification.
